Melania Elena Tudose is working since one year as the Head Midwife of the labor and delivery department in the Buzua Emergency County hospital. Ms. Tudose is since 2013 president of the independent midwives association of Romania and member of the European Midwives Association (EMA) and the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM). The objectives of her membership is the promoting and enhancing of the Independent Midwives Associaton (AMI), leading actions to promote and develop the midwife profession in Romania and active participation to several working groups/committees adressing practice or policy issues corelated with midwife profession. Melania Tudose is also active as a member of the Editorial Board of European Journal of Midwifery, the Working Group of the Ministry of Health (to elaborate norms, guidelines and rules for midwives practice) and a member of the editorial Committee of Rx Journal.
