IoT is on a solid rise. Smart cities, industry 4.0, e-health, the applications are numerous. As a result of this evolution, masses of data are being created, all of which have to find their way to the Cloud and be processed into information that is of interest to the user. In this course we will learn techniques to process and visualize large amounts of data in an efficient way. We also get to know the latest trend of edge computing that puts less strain on the Cloud.

Programma

This  course will take place on Friday the 28th of January 2022, 4 February 2022, 18 February 2022 and an exam on 25 February 2022.

In the course you will learn about:

  • How a model can be implemented on a platform with limited resources
  • Big data platforms and architecture
  • Data transport
  • Big data visualization and interpretation
  • Edge computing vs cloud computing
