The Erasmus University College Brussels organizes in the academic year 2011-12 for the eighth time an international programme in English. From the end of September 2011 till the end of June 2012 students from all over the world can follow the postgraduate training “Communication and languages as Strategic Skills” (CLASS).

The CLASS-programme is a full year programme of 60 credits and provides lectures, group work, visits, projects and self-study modules. The evaluation follows the rules of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).

The new programme offers six professional options in the following fields:
•    Journalism
•    Marketing communication
•    Office management
•    Hotel management
•    Tourism management
•    Social work

Terms of enrolment

Studenten Erasmushogeschool BrusselCLASS is open for Belgian and foreign students who have already obtained a bachelor diploma. To apply send your curriculum, copies of diplomas and a letter of motivation to the co-ordinator. Erasmus exchange students do not pay the inscription fee.

Certificate

Those who finish Class succesfully (minimum 20 credits) will receive a diploma.

Programme

General courses are dedicated to Brussels and Belgium as a multicultural centre, European Integration and Current Social-Economic and Political Affairs. Students can also take supplementary language courses: English (advanced), French (advanced), German (elementary) and Spanish (elementary).

Students compose their own programme by choosing at least 30 or more credits for the first semester (or 60 credits for the whole year). The following courses (3 studypoints each) are mandatory : Cross cultural management, International communication, Introduction to Belgium, European Integration, European Policies, Focus on Africa or Focus on China and Current Affairs.

 

An in-take conversation precedes the inscription. In the second semester students are given the opportunity to do an internship (from April to June) in their respective professional field. You will find an overview of all courses in the following pages.

Costs

First semester fee for CLASS is 1500 euro. A full year application costs 2150 euro.
The course is free for Erasmus exchange students.
